We provide the following services:

  • DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES
    Persons suspected of having a hereditary bleeding disorder and Gaucher Disease are referred to the Center for specialized blood tests and examination to determine a diagnosis.

  • OUTPATIENT TREATMENT
    Clients can receive routine care by appointment, as well as emergency treatment and consultation 24 hours a day.

  • HOME CARE PROGRAM
    This includes training and distribution of medical supplies.

  • HOME VISITS
    Patients are visited at home by the nursing staff and a social worker.

  • SCHOOL VISITS
    The nurse and Social Workers educate school personnel in how to care for students with Hemophilia.

  • COUNSELING SERVICES
    Genetic, psychosocial, financial, and career counseling services are available.

  • COMPREHENSIVE CLINICS
    The Center offers complete evaluations by a team of experts including hematologists, nurses, counselors, orthopedic specialists, physical therapists and dentists.

  • COORDINATION OF INPATIENT SERVICES
    The nurse assists the patient during hospitalization.

  • REFERRALS
    The Center provides referrals for all of the complications associated with Hemophilia and its treatment. This includes, but is not limited to, orthopedic, infectious and gastrointestinal diseases.

  • INVENTORY OF TREATMENT PRODUCTS
    A complete supply of treatment products are stored at the Center for clinic, home and emergency use.

  • EDUCATION
    Educational sessions can be scheduled for clients, family, professionals, and the community.

  • ADVOCACY
    The Center staff promotes improvement of conditions for persons with Hemophilia and Gaucher Disease as well as their families.

  • CAMP
    Funds are raised to support children�s attendance at special summer Hemophilia resident camps.

  • RESEARCH
    Professional staff participate in research studies that will advance knowledge of bleeding disorders and Gaucher Disease.
